Very recently, like in the last few years, it finally dawned on me that what I was taking for “common sense” and “obvious” was neither to most other people – I was informed with layers of insight and knowledge that came directly out of studying Psychology for many years. I had been taking my Psychology training for granted when all the time it was a solidly built road that was fully supporting my life and career. In Psychology I learned to appreciate the power and vicissitudes of the unconscious mind and the effect of personality and emotions on our functioning. I used these insights to help myself in my own life, and to help my clients in theirs.
