This is a message that needs to be posted over and over. Far too many people do not realize we all must make a choice between curses or blessings; there is no third choice! Some think our lives are like a game of chance [cards], just luck of the draw. In other words, you have to play the hand you are dealt [no choice]. Not so, we get exactly what we ask for; as an individual or a nation. What we get is based on our own choices [2 Corinthians 5:10, Galatians 6:7]. This is a KJV Bible study guide. All of us are told in scripture exactly what to expect based on our choices; blessings or cursings. Why act surprised? It's your choice and again there is no third choice; therefore choose wisely. Read Leviticus chapter 26 as well. Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Blessings. Deuteronomy 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. (“If” is a huge 2 letter word. Everything depends on your choice). Deuteronomy 28:12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow. (This is one of the many commandments of God that our elected officials have broken many times over. They continually borrow from and depend on other nations instead of trusting in God and His blessings. It is getting worse by the minute each and every day. What happens to a nation that doesn’t hearken unto the one true God that has blessed them? We are witnessing the result of that today in 2023+. Read Deuteronomy 28:15-68 very carefully for your answer). Deuteronomy 28:15-68; Curses. Deuteronomy 28:15 "But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all His commandments and His statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and over take thee," [“If thou shalt” and “if thou wilt not” are conditional. You have to choose one way or the other way; it takes decisive action on your part. See Jeremiah 17:5 and 7. Could this be the cause of the pandemic of past years (2020, 2021, 2022+)? Do all people hearken unto God at this present time? Just look around you; watch the daily news or read a newspaper for your obvious answer. The answer would be “NO”]. Deuteronomy 28:16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Gang wars and drive by shootings where kids are taking up weapons against each other are part of the cursings. People stand by when crimes are committed and do nothing; many cry out to defund our Police forces. How stupid can you get? Our fields are washing away with soil erosion, the land is being mismanaged to where much of the land simply will not be productive like before; it is overused. Very few let the land rest according to God’s Word. See the next verse for a second witness. | |
