Women in the Bible!

Please read this post entirely, then study the verses quoted in the KJV Bible.

The verses below are just some of the many examples in His word of younger and older women who prophesy/teach and or lead. Study the written accounts of these other women also: Noah's wife, Rahab, Rachel, Rebecca, Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Naomi, Ruth, Mary (Christ's mother), Mary Magdalene, Martha and Mary, Philips 4 daughters, Wife of Pilate, Samaritan woman at the well, Lois and Eunice (Timothy's Grandmother and Mother), etc. There are numerous women in the Bible who are considered by “God” to be a prophetess, a teacher, a leader, a Judge, one who converts others, etc. Too many to mention here. Learn the truth yourself through study of God's word. Men and Women alike, see 2 Timothy 1:5, 2:15 and 3:14, 16; learn what you can through study of His word, get a more complete picture. He commands us to study His word. Far too many don't know that.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

[Sons and “daughters” shall prophesy. Not maybe prophesy, shall prophesy! What? Women shall prophesy in the last days? I know a lot of men have a problem with this, but God doesn’t].

Luke 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

[What is a prophetess you ask? In this verse and many others, prophetess means: in the religious assemblies of the Christians, they were moved by the Holy Spirit to speak, having power to instruct, comfort, encourage, rebuke, convict, and stimulate their hearers. This definition comes from a Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Verses 37 and 38 of this same book and chapter are important also].

Acts 21:9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

[Philip had 4 daughters that did what? What does it mean again to prophesy, to be a prophetess? Look at the definition just above this verse; in other words it means to preach and teach].

Some men think that a woman should not teach or preach the doctrines of Christ from the word of God, they cling to 1 Corinthians 14:34 believing that is what it is saying. Most never go any further in their studies; they hold on to what they've heard only (the traditions of men). The Bible says otherwise in the above verses. Do you believe there is a contradiction in the above verses? Many men do. Are they correct? Is there a bad translation in 1 Corinthians 14:34? The above verses say women will and do prophesy in any case! How can one ignore the above scriptures and cling to 1 Corinthians 14:34 only? It is done in ignorance promoting a bad interpretation of a single verse. This is not the only place it happens. Go figure. Who do you choose to believe and trust concerning this topic? Do you believe and trust God or what a mere human says? Your choice!

Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
