Doctrines of Christ! This is a KJV Bible study guide. I believe there is nothing more important to true Christianity than the doctrines of Christ. A doctrine is simply a teaching, a precept, a correct way, His truths, guidance in His way, His standards (not man’s standards), etc. His ways are any and all teachings of the Godhead; God, Christ the son and the Holy Spirit. What are those doctrines you ask? I don't know if a mere human can name them all, but, they are contained in the Bible (His word) for all to read and study personally. From the front cover to the back cover and all the way in between is where you will find those doctrines. For instance, I think John 3:16 is one of the most necessary, basic and fundamental doctrines of Christ; which is true belief that results in eternal life. You either abide in His doctrine or reject His doctrine; see 2 John 1:9-11. It is imperative you stay away from man's doctrines; stick to Christ's doctrines only. John 1:1-2 [The Word has been there since the beginning. The Word was made flesh (Jesus Christ); see John 1:14]. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. [Wow! The Holy Spirit teaches us. Holy Ghost = Holy Spirit. God's Spirit is not a spook]! John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. [His word is where you find His doctrines; the truth]. Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. [Who was Jesus? God with us in the flesh; Wow! See Isaiah 7:14; John 1:14; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14 and 1 John 4:2 also. Research what Immanuel means in Hebrew using the Strong's Concordance. Word # H6005]. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. [Might be hard to learn the doctrines of Christ if you choose not to obey God. He commands us to study His word in this verse. How many actually obey this command? Biblical illiteracy is a real good indicator! By the way, this is one of the many doctrines of Christ]. 2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [How much scripture is profitable for doctrine? What does the word “all” mean? You can use any and “all” scripture to further God's Kingdom]. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. [They are one!!! Again, God's Spirit is not a spook]! I have tried to connect the dots and present a more complete picture of what I believe based on scripture. Anything and everything taught in the Bible, His true word, is a doctrine of Christ. I use the KJV Bible and the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance. Let me know what you think.
