Woe to false teachers!

This applies to the ones of today that think they are prophets and or teachers (2024+). There are lots of people today making all kinds of predictions; beware. Check them out to see if what they say lines up with the word of God. This is a KJV Bible study guide.
Deuteronomy 18:22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
(You know a prophet is from God if what they say comes true. If he or she speaks and continues to change their prophecy because the events are not coming to pass, then that person is a false prophet. God is telling us to pay attention to what these people say and check them out).
Jeremiah 23:1 Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

[These pastors are not of God, and lead people away from the true Shepherd, who is Jesus Christ. Pastors who teach doctrines and traditions of men, scatter the sheep of God's flock. When those scattered sheep study God's Word and hear the true words of the Good Shepherd, they are brought back into the flock of the Good Shepherd, who is Christ. It is not a good idea to teach and heed doctrines of men. Teach Christ's doctrines only; see 2 John 1:9-11. Also, it might help you if you are a preacher or a teacher of God’s word to look at and learn from Malachi 2:1-2:17. This must be repeated often so at least some preachers can learn what to do so they don’t fall into the category of false teacher. Study the word of God; what a concept].

Jeremiah 23:2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

[They drive the people away from God instead of leading them to God. They scatter the people teaching them church doctrine and traditions of men instead of the Word of God. Judgment is coming upon these false teachers if they continue in their ways without repentance. Ezekiel chapter 13 is very, very important also. Where does judgment begin? God's house which includes the pulpit! See 1 Peter 4:17].

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

[This leans towards false teachings and traditions of men. This word "idle" is "argos" G692 in the Strong's Concordance; it means lazy, barren or useless. The word "speak" used here means to preach. This applies to those who preach and teach the Word. Remember, judgment begins in God's house; that includes pulpits. Don't pay heed to anyone including a preacher or teacher that doesn't know what he or she is talking about].

Matthew 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

[All of us, including pastors, will be held accountable for what we say and teach. God's Word is what should be taught; His word is truth, John 17:17].

Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

[You cancel out the Word of God in order to hand down your own traditions. Christ warned against these traditions of men in many verses].

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

[Sounds like a really good example to follow. Receive the word with all readiness of mind, but search the scriptures to verify (true or not true) what you have just heard from a friend, relative, preacher, teacher or pastor. Put your trust in God, not man; see Jeremiah 17:5 and 17:7. We are commanded to study God’s word; see 2 Timothy 2:15 in a KJV Bible. Have you complied with this command? Sadly, most so-called preachers and church attendees have not].

Important verses on this subject follow: Deuteronomy 18:20; Ezekiel 13:9; Jeremiah 14:14; Jeremiah 23:16; 2 Peter 2:1-3 plus many more not listed here. It is very easy to see that God does not like false prophets and false teachers.

If you study and learn what is really in His Word, God will approve you for His work. By studying you become one that can't be easily deceived by a so-called preacher and won't deceive others with false doctrines. Become one who can discern truth from falsehood and completely avoid falsehood. Try the spirits; 1 John 4:1. Also, see the complete chapter of Ezekiel 13 if you want to know what God thinks about false teachers/prophets of His word; not a good place to be for sure. Also, God does not send out beggars. If someone is begging for your money saying you can buy a blessing, God didn’t send them. Again, where does judgment begin? See 1 Peter 4:17 in a KJV Bible.
