No Sign up, No Email Required to Post. “Division”! This is a subject that needs to be repeated. Just think about what is happened at the Olympics recently; a real good example of this topic. This is a KJV Bible study guide. Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. (This is very apparent in my family today. Do you see it in yours)? Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. Luke 12:51 Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: Luke 12:52 For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three. John 7:43 So there was a division among the people because of him. (A third witness. Who were they divided about? Jesus Himself; nothing has changed even until today [2024+]). Think about all the divisions you see no matter where you look (yesterday, today or tomorrow). Some examples follow: Believers in God/those who deny God exists; Creationism/Evolution; religious affiliation; political affiliation (pro Trump/anti Trump, Democrat, Republican, etc.); sexual orientation; those that are confused about their gender/those that are not confused about their gender; same sex marriage; financial status; skin color/race; abortion; pro police/law and order; anti-police/riots, protests, burn it down if you don’t like it, election results, etc. It certainly appears to me that the lines have been drawn everywhere you look. This list is not all inclusive and is growing daily; many more obvious divides exist and could be mentioned here; humans are very inventive, even those in your own family. Was Jesus speaking of division among believers in one family or in society in general in the above 3 verses? In any case, division is apparent in this day and age to me. See the next 2 verses for some insight. Food for thought: It is the truth of the word that divides. Yes, Christ (the living word) brings division, but that division is between good and evil, good deeds/actions and bad deeds/actions. Which side will you be on? "We need to get back to the truth in the word, and under God which this country was founded upon." Follow the truth, expect division, and keep your eyes on the Heavenly Father; then you will receive all the glory. Additional food for thought: Kids that grow up on farms, cattle ranches, etc. taking care of all kinds of animals are not confused about their gender. The kids that are confused about their gender usually grow up in cities. Something to think about; see the following verse please. Isaiah 5:8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth! More to think about: Could this following verse be talking about today in the U.S. as well as what Jesus was saying to those of that time? Read this and all associated verses and make up your own mind. Our nation (USA) is being dismantled before our very eyes. It hasn’t hit bottom yet, but it is getting very close to the bottom. Matthew 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: Study your Bibles completely; seek Him and His truths in the word. By doing that you will learn which side of the division God wants you on. Right is right even when everyone is against it; wrong is wrong even when everyone is for it. (William Penn).
