(Your works [deeds] do follow you; sadly, far too many are ignorant of this Biblical truth). Revelation 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (Good works [deeds] are rewarded, bad works [deeds] are penalized. Which one do you prefer)? Titus chapter 2 gives us a description of some of what can be called good works. The object is to lead others toward God, not away from Him. Each of us are just one member of the many membered body of Christ. We all can't be doing the same thing; God has given each of us different gifts. Some are given a beautiful singing voice, some are given the ability and means to speak to a crowd, etc. Use your God given gift to lead others toward Him. Keep up the good works. Continue to study also and enhance your knowledge of God’s word. The reason why: more than likely, you will not hear much of God’s word where you attend church. If you are paying attention you will see the famine spoken of in Amos 8:11 below: Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: Eternity biblical facts follow: Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (No one that continues in these behaviors will be in the eternity; God destroys anything and everything that causes tears, death, sorrow, and pain. One can repent of these and other sins, in other words, choose not to continue in them. God is very patient, He wants all to repent; see 2 Peter 3:9). Revelation 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. (Only those souls and things that were immune to or make the second cut will be in the eternity with God. All evil is done away with forever; even your memory of those that didn’t make it. Remember, no tears, no sorrows). | |
