Blotted out!! | |
He remembers them no more! This needs to be repeated over and over. So many, to include myself, have put themselves on guilt trips because they were or are unaware of this truth! Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. [God doesn't remember your sins for His own sake, after you truly repent. He doesn't want to hear about them again and again]. Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. [Do you want any of your sins to still be on the books when you stand before Christ? I certainly hope not. Therefore repent, get back on track]. Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. [If one truly repents, God blots out those sins. He doesn't remember them anymore, which means He doesn't want to hear about them anymore; He blotted them out]! Repentance must be done in truth. It is not a one and done event either as some believe. If necessary, we must repent more than once; see Ezekiel 33:12-19, Ezekiel 18:21-28 and Romans 3:25 in a KJV Bible. Psalm 145:18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Ezekiel 33:12, 13, 18, 19; repent and live. [Also, see 2 Samuel 24:10; As soon as David realized he had sinned, he repented. A really good example for us! See 1 John 1:8-10 again. Ezekiel 18:21-28, 30-31; repent of past sin (hath committed, not will commit in the future) and live. Also, see Luke 9:62 (don't go back to sinful ways, remember, sin separates you from God). These verses, plus many more, reveal some of the beauty of true Christianity. When one “truly” repents, their past sins are blotted out and not remembered; they have a clean slate; no more burdensome load of past sin. The key words are “truly repents”. I often wonder why some people keep bringing up our past sins that have been forgiven and forgotten by God? Do they get pleasure over bringing up our past mistakes? I think so in some cases. In any case, keep studying the Bible completely, cover to cover; there is a definite reason for doing so. If you want to be free from the bondage of deception, (caused by listening to false teachers, those that are biblically illiterate, liars, etc.), learn the truth by studying the word of God completely as we are commanded to do; don’t be destroyed for lack of knowledge of God’s word. Another really good reason to study is you will not hear God’s word today where you should hear His word (in church). 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (This is a command not a wish). John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: (That famine for hearing the Word of the Lord is upon us now. People are starving for the truth in the Word. Sadly, fairy tales, false teachings, traditions and commandments of men are all that are taught in most churches today. You can overcome the famine by actually studying the word of God yourself; what a concept). By studying the Bible yourself you will discover amazing things that, sadly, you will never hear while sitting in a church pew. | |
