After thoroughly studying what Christ thinks, ask yourself, am I spending my time attending an approved or unapproved church type? Let the words of Christ Himself, through the apostle John, answer that for you. Trust what Christ has to say! Christ approved or disapproved of each church type based on what they were teaching, not what they were named. The kind of fruit they produced was more important. KJV Bible verses only. Christ approved or not? Just A thought: How can a church be a house of God unless His whole Word is taught there? Is the whole word taught where you attend church now, chapter by chapter, verse by verse? Only you and God can answer that. Ask yourself another question: why do a lot of churches not teach the Bible completely, verse by verse? Might be something to think about. Remember, truth sets you free. Why do you go? Ask yourself: why do I go to church? For a social event? To further my business contacts? Because Grandpa and Grandma did it [traditional reasons]? Again, ask yourself, am I learning more of God's Word? Am I advancing in understanding of His Word? Am I learning the signs of the end times? Am I able to share the true and complete word with others? Only you and God can answer these questions about yourself and your present church! If you are not learning more of God's Word [His truths, John 17:17], perhaps you could be wasting your time. The actual reason you go is very important. It is so easy to remedy! Start today by studying the whole Bible yourself. If you can, find a church that actually teaches the word of God entirely. Sadly, they are few and far between, but, thankfully they do exist. Please don’t be guilty of just playing church. Please read and study the following verses: Ecclesiastes 12:13; Isaiah 29:13 [shaky ground to be on]; Hosea 4:1, 6-7, 9-10; Matthew 7:21-23, 21:12-13; Romans 16:17-18. The true Church of God is (few in numbers and little in size): Matthew 7:13-14 [few shall find it]; Luke 12:32 [little flock]; What do the words few and flock represent? People! It is not referring to a building built by a human. It is a spiritual organism with a history going right back to Jesus Christ and the apostles, the church of the living God [1 Timothy 3:15]. It is made up of those that truly believe, humble themselves, submit, follow and obey Him completely; not partially or occasionally, repenting when necessary. The Word of God is not a feel-good, live-a-better-life message. It should do two things: Comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. Too many churches have a health, wealth, and prosperity gospel. Is this church type Christ approved? The Word of God cuts sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts into the inner most parts of the human heart. It must convict and convince. The people at the church where you go should encourage you to read and study the Word of God during the week. They should eat, sleep, and breathe the Word of God in the church or you should find another church. Does the church have a regular Sunday school program and do they offer a Wednesday night Bible study? No believer can survive with just a one-hour Sunday morning sermon. We need to feed on the Word of God everyday. A person that takes the Bread of Life for only one hour a week will spiritually starve to death. Attend a Christ approved church type, if you can, don't waste your time. Read and study the Bible cover to cover, book by book, chapter by chapter and verse by verse on your own. Supplement what you may hear in church by learning directly from God's word. You certainly don't have anything to lose by studying on your own, whether you attend a physical, human built church now or not. You will be truly amazed by what is actually in the Bible. | |
